Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical devices and equipment are now the most rapidly increasing waste category in our landfills.
The majority of these electrical items can be repaired or recycled, with the goal of conserving our precious natural resources and minimizing the detrimental effects that disposing of such equipment can have on our environment. Neglecting the recycling of electrical equipment leads to their accumulation in landfills, where hazardous materials can seep into the soil and water, posing risks to wildlife and potentially human health.
We take pride in assisting your local authorities in offering convenient, community-based recycling centres for electrical equipment.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximize separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of electrical items in order to reduce the amount of electrical items in landfills.
How are we helping?
Distributors and retailers have an obligation to provide a system to their customers buying new electrical equipment with an option to recycle old electricals free of charge. As a responsible retailer & distributor, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).
